Tuscany in summer is stunning, romantic, and absolutely roasting. Expect daytime temps of 32–38Β°C β€” it feels like you're being gently cooked in olive oil. Nights don't offer much relief, humidity clings to you like a needy ex, and mosquitoes are aggressive, persistent, and armed with vengeance. Bring spray, wear long sleeves at dusk, and try not to take it personally when they choose you as their buffet. 🦟

β˜” What if it rains? Let's not dwell on dark thoughts. But if it does… there's currently no backup indoor location big enough for the whole party crowd. Translation? Everyone might end up huddling under one very confused olive tree. 🫠

Pistoia sits right in the heart of Tuscany, close to Florence and Pisa. Getting here might not be the fastest journey you'll ever take β€” but trust me, it's worth it! You can fly into Pisa (PSA), Bologna (BLQ), or Florence (FLR) β€” all roughly 2h from Berlin. From there, trains and highways will get you to Pistoia in 40 min to 2 hours depending on the airport.

Pro tip: rent a car. The train system exists (and yes, it mostly works), but it won't take you to those hidden, breathtaking corners of Tuscany. Or feel free to get here however you like: car, motorbike, bicycle, moped, swim, foot, or teleportation. 🀌

Absolutely! If you're just flying in for the weekend, that works too. The party is on Saturday evening, so you could arrive Friday or Saturday morning and leave Sunday. Get in touch and we'll figure out the best plan!

There are several options! There are lovely hotels and Airbnbs in the Pistoia area. Reach out and I can help you find the best spot.

πŸš— With a car (the VIP experience): You've unlocked the true Tuscany DLC. Roam free like a Renaissance road warrior β€” San Gimignano (medieval towers + life-changing gelato), Val d'Orcia (serious postcard energy), Chianti wine region (zero shame in day drinking), natural hot springs at Saturnia or Bagni San Filippo, and gorgeous coastline from Viareggio all the way to Cinque Terre. If you're serious about swimming, head south to Castiglioncello or Argentario β€” the best sea in Tuscany.

πŸš† By train (the sweaty but scenic path): Public transport is sufficiently okay (official technical rating). It'll get you to Florence (constant sense of being underdressed), Lucca (chill vibes, bike-friendly walls), Pisa (yes, the tower still leans), Siena (medieval city goals), and Arezzo (less touristy, full of charm). Just be prepared for classic Italian train delays and β€” it's July β€” your armpits have been warned. πŸ˜
